It is a great car to drive, I can’t believe I got 3.4l/100km’s from it. I drove it as I would normally drive my own car. And at only €104 annual road tax its €229 less than my car at the moment. It’s brilliant!

I just couldn’t believe that a diesel car could drive so well. It was very quiet with loads of power and fuel efficient as well. I will definitely consider buying a 308 Hdi diesel on my next purchase. Consumption achieved = 5.3 litres / 100km.

"Green cars are not generally fun. I generally prefer to walk, which is about as green as it gets. Ironically, though, almost as soon as I got behind the wheel of the Eco I began to warm to it. The cabin is classy, thoughtfully laid out and made from mostly high-quality materials. The front seats are hugely comfortable and the driving position can be tweaked to suit every taste. The 308 Eco's raison d'etre is economy and low emissions, of course. While you could therefore expect it to be a gutless lump, the truth is that the engine is really rather excellent - it's smooth but surprisingly punchy. The chassis too is a surprise. I'd forgotten how refined the ride quality is and how sharp the lithe chassis is. The Eco is a pleasure to drive - it's quick, refined, comfortable and quiet and costs next to nothing to run. And because it doesn't shout about its green credentials, you won't reek of smugness when you're driving it."
